Comedy Therapy Live

4 comedians and 1 psychiatrist come together to solve your problems!

After becoming a box office hit, selling out major theatres in Europe the format is coming to London.

In each show, the public shares their problems anonymously, and the comedians discuss them and offer solutions. Usually unorthodox or very practical but always hilarious. And then, our mental health expert shares his professional opinion on what could be a more reasonable solution.

From the light-hearted to the profound, Comedy Therapy delivers therapeutic laughter and a uniqueness that’s as good for the mind as it is for the soul.

And this show’s illustrious cast includes:

Ali Woods is a half-English, half-Scottish comedian, podcaster and content creator. Fresh off his first sold out show at the Edinburgh Fringe this year, Ali is a refreshing mix of the ‘every man’ and the ‘modern man’, whose sensitivity and genuine interest in men’s mental health gives him a great perspective on the modern ‘lad’ culture which often features in his comedy. Ali won Hackney Empire New Act of the Year 2020 and has appeared on BBC Radio 4, TalkRadio, TalkSport alongside hosting his own podcast ‘All I Do Is Fail’. His online comedy sketches under the tag @aliwoodsgigs have gained millions of views and likes, and featured on LadBible and Buzzfeed UK.

Grace Campbell – is a very gorgeous, very successful (critically and commercially acclaimed) stand up comedian, author, and actor. Grace loves to undermine everything she hates about the world. Her comedy has no bounds. From sex to to why she hates politicians to the time she took acid. Grace has performed two sell out Edinburgh Fringe’s and in addition to millions of views online she famously coined the phrase J’Adore.
Her debut book – Amazing Disgrace – was celebrated as: An outpouring of truth, wit, and beautiful comedic wisdom – Katherine Ryan

George Zach – is Greek but has has firmly established himself in the UK and Australian comedy circuits, has performed in various countries such as Spain, The Netherlands, Greece, Germany and Hong Kong and has supported Chris McCausland and Sophie Willan on their UK tours as well as Jim Jeffries and TJ Miller internationally.
His broadcast work includes appearing on Dave Channel’s ‘The Comedy Guide To Life’, BBC One’s This Week, The One Show and he has acted in Sky’s Summer Shorts.

André De Freitas – the creator of Comedy Therapy and a critically acclaimed stand up comedian who has regularly toured all over the world opening for comedians such as Jim Jefferies, Iliza Schlesinger, Russell Peters, Jim Gaffigan.

Benji Waterstones – is an NHS psychiatrist.
He has written for The Guardian and The Independent and his first book ’You Don’t Have To Be Mad To Work Here’ is published by Penguin talks about his time working in the NHS.

Past problems include:

“I cheated on my boyfriend and don’t know how to tell him. He’s here with me tonight.”

“I want to quit my job and pursue my passion. I’m afraid to take the leap. What shall I do?”

“My partner has erectile dysfunction but refuses to acknowledge it. How do I get him to accept it so we can start a conversation?”

We can’t promise to solve your problem but we can promise you’ll have a great time watching us try! But don’t take our word for it, see what the audience has said:

“I was in tears from laughing! ”

“I want to come back and tell everybody about this show!”

“I’ve been to every single one and will go to all future ones! I love the concept, it makes you think and laugh!”

“I cried and laughed but more importantly I identified myself in so much of it!”

With each show bringing new problems, we can promise you… you will never see the same thing twice!
