Have a show or a performance idea you like to bring to the Phoenix Arts Club stage, in the heart of the west end? We’d love to hear from you!
We welcome submissions from any production looking for a dynamic and unique venue. We’ve hosted a wide variety of shows from musicals and plays to stand-up comedy shows and multi-line-up cabaret.
We have a preference for shows with an interval but are open to 1-hour shows, double/triple bill nights or longer.
The venue is available for external show hire Mon – Thurs and Sunday. Fridays and Saturdays are exclusively for our in-house shows.
The Venue
The space has up to 108 capacity in Cabaret-Style seating and with several seating and staging configurations available.
We have a backstage area to accommodate multi-line-up cabaret performances, plays, and musicals with multiple cast members.
We have a top-of-line A/V system including wireless Sennheiser handheld microphones, spatial room audio, and a 4K video wall for dynamic stage backgrounds. Have a read through our Tech Pack.
Agreement
We operate as a box-office split of 65% to visiting company, and 35% to us against a minimum box-office spend of £500 or 40% of total capacity, whichever is higher. Tickets are sold through the Phoenix Arts Club website and a 10% booking fee is added on top of ticket prices, this covers fees incurred from the booking system.
An in-house sound & light technician and 2 hours of tech time before doors are included as standard. A second technician is available for £250 per show.
We can offer support from our producing and marketing teams here at the Phoenix Arts Club to help your show become a success.
Rehearsals
We welcome performers using the space for rehearsals prior to the show. We can offer the space to companies at our member’s rates from 9am – 4pm.
For weekday rehearsals;
Use of ½ of the room whilst the other side stays open to members for Creative Hub;
Members – £15 + VAT p/h
Non-Members – £25 + VAT p/h
Use of full venue, closing creative hub;
Members – £40 + VAT p/h
Non-Members – £60 + VAT p/h
Minimum booking length is 4 hours. Please note this does not include use of the venue lighting or video or a technician. Basic sound and a piano are available upon request prior to the rehearsal. Recorded performances or a sharing with any kind of audience are not permitted as part of a rehearsal at these rates.
