Dom Pipkin returns to the Phoenix in triumph to The Phoenix Arts Club!
“The soul of New Orleans in the UK” Dom Pipkin is acknowledged as one of best in the genre. His shows are hugely entertaining, yet true to the spirit and authenticity of this most spicy of piano styles. Pipkin draws material from the greats – Fats Domino, Dr John, and Allen Toussaint – and mixes it with his own life-affirming songwriting, showcased last year with the release of his solo album “C’mon Sunshine”.
A regular visitor to New Orleans, where he both performs and collaborates with established local names Pipkin has worked alongside names artists as Paloma Faith, David Byrne and Paul Weller. He was featured at the prestigious “Piano Night” in New Orleans in 2014 along a stellar line.
