My Last Two Brain Cells

The 7th highest-rated comedy show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2023 (Chortle), Vault Festival People’s Choice Award nominee 2023 and Stagey Place Award Winning Best Comedy 2023 My Last Two Brain Cells is coming to the Phoenix Arts Club this July!

This absurdist, anarchic fast-paced hour of stupidly dumb comedy is set in the head office of TPL Inc. (Temporal Lobe Incorporated), the company who are in charge of running Gary Kane’s body. Invited in are the ‘honorary hormones’, aka the show’s audience, for a special once-in-a-lifetime opportunity – the tour of Gary’s brain. The tour’s hosts for the evening? None other than Brain Cell Number 12 and Brain Cell Number 64,928,460,784. Unsurprisingly with these two bickering brain cells, things quite suddenly go awry, it seems they are the last two left and it is up to them to keep everything afloat and save Gary’s life.

Described as ‘the new Rik Mayall and Ade Edomndson’ (Joe’s Friend’s Mum) Hazelden and Pike are character comedy performers creating high concept, fast paced, absurdist comedy with nods to both clown and sketch. It is a wholesome yet utterly chaotic hour of audience interaction, music, skits and the most beautiful dance duet the world has potentially ever seen.

Praised as ‘a comedic masterpiece’ (Broadway World), ‘fast-paced hour of ridiculousness’ (British Theatre Guide) all whilst still having ‘tremendous amount of heart’ (EdFringe Review) it is almost difficult to do anything but ‘highly recommend’ (Mervyn Stutter’s Pick Of The Fringe)
this show.
