1. Venue Description:
Situated in a typical London cellar beneath The Phoenix Theatre, The Phoenix Arts Club currently does not have step-free access. Collaborating with the building landlord for improvements, we presently follow wheelchair ‘carry-down’ procedures per HM Government Guidelines. Electric wheelchairs can be securely stored at ground level. Upon entering, navigate down 17 steps with two landings to reach the main performance space.
Explore the entire venue through a Virtual 360* tour on our Facebook page – phoenixartsclub. Once inside, the entire venue is on the same level.

2. Bookable Access Facilities + How to Apply:
The Phoenix Arts Club warmly welcomes patrons requiring a personal assistant (PA) to attend a show. Contact us to discuss your requirements, and we will gladly provide a free ticket for your PA.

3. Accessible viewing area
We do not have a dedicated viewing area, however please do view the seating plan when booking tickets to select the best option for you.

4. Accessible parking
Being a Central London venue we do not have a dedicated car park, but to find out more about Blue Badge parking licensed by Camden Council please check here –https://www.camden.gov.uk/documents/20142/3754167/Blue+Badge+parking+guide+1119.pdf/15e72c52-51f4-1baf-7bc4-879984d0dc11
On street parking is restricted to a maximum of 2 hours and can be found in nearby New Compton Street, WC2H.

5. Travel Guide and Arrival Guide
If customers are arriving by taxi, they can be dropped off right outside the venue.
Tottenham Court Road Station (Northern, Elizabeth and Central lines) is the closest step free station, and this is about 200 paces away.
The following buses stop directly opposite the venue (North & South bound) at ‘Cambridge Circus’ – No’s 24, 29 and 176 (including respective night bus services). Our door team will be happy to assist you with any transport queries.

6. Toilets
We do not currently have any accessible toilets within the venue.

7. Customers with Medical Requirements
If you need to bring food, drink or medication with you, we are happy to accommodate this. Please let us know in advance, so we can alert our door staff. All of our Duty Managers, Door Staff and Stage Technical Team are fully trained in First Aid.

8. Assistance Dogs
We welcome assistance dogs into the venue. Please let us know in advance if you will be bringing an assistance dog with you. If necessary, we can find a space away from the performance for your dog to stay.

9. Strobe Lighting
On occasion, we utilise strobe lighting at our venue. If you require adjustments or have specific needs for your visit, please contact us in advance, and we’ll be happy to assist.

10. Chairs
Chairs Width: 44cm Depth: 42cm
Our chairs do not have armrests and are reinforced so do not have a weight limit. For more comfort, we recommend booking the left side walls as these are banquettes and generously spaced – we do not over fill our shows with patrons.  Again, these do not have armrests and the tables in front can be adjusted away to provide extra space.
Email customercare@phoenixartsclub.com with any questions and we will do our best to help accommodate.
We take pride in offering one of London’s most diverse and inclusive artistic programs, collaborating with over 400 creative practitioners annually to showcase the finest emerging talent in the West End. From LGBTQ+ entertainment to cabaret, musical theatre, opera, and beyond, we’re dedicated to celebrating a vibrant spectrum of performances.

At The Phoenix Arts Club, inclusivity is at the heart of what we do. That’s why many of our shows operate under the NOTAFLOF (not turned away for lack of funds) scheme, ensuring that financial constraints never hinder access to our events. Reach out to us at customercare@phoenixartsclub.com.

Furthermore, we offer various ticket bands, with many shows starting from just £22. Our goal is to make live entertainment accessible to all, regardless of budget

At The Phoenix Arts Club, we proudly uphold equal opportunities in employment and cherish our naturally diverse and inclusive workplace environment. This is made possible by our vibrant community of over 400 creative practitioners who contribute to and produce productions here year-round, as well as the thousands of theatre workers who grace our venue day and night.

We’re constantly on the lookout for fresh performance talent to join our dynamic team. If you’re a performer ready to showcase your skills, we’d love to hear from you! Please email your showreel and information to events@phoenixartsclub.com.
The Phoenix Arts Club is a member of the Camden Climate Change Alliance, the IEMA (Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment) which gives us access to regular updates including access to COP26, and we follow the guidence set out by Theatre Green book for sustainable productions, including monitoring our carbon footprint and aim of achieving net zero by 2030. You can find details of our sustainability approach below.
We follow the principles of The Theatre Green Book, and are working toward making our Building, Productions and Operations as sustainable as possible. You can find out more about the initiative at https://theatregreenbook.com/

1. Our Building
All lighting is LED powered and we use state of the art air filtration units and new extractor fans throughout the space, providing clean air at all times (it is replaced every 12 minutes). We don’t use single use plastics in the venue and we work closely with one of the leading Recycling and Waste Management specialists, First Mile to leave a Greener Footprint.

2. Our Productions
Where physical theatre sets are used, we try our best to repurpose them into permanent installations within the venue. The majority of our shows are set-less, relying instead on use of projection.

3. Our People
As a local arts space many of our employees and audience live and work in Camden. We encourage our staff to walking and cycle to work, and provide them with changing facilities, lockers and storage for their bicycles. We also support our staff with flexible working.
